On November 8, Donna Yang, CCO & VP of MAILab, delivered a presentation on "AI for Logistics" at the University of Tokyo, offering insights into how MicroFM, MAILab's micro-fulfillment and micro-mobility spin-off, is revolutionizing urban logistics. MicroFM’s innovative QuickCom service offers one-hour delivery within Seoul and integrates AI-driven logistics technology through its Incheon Global Logistics Center (IGLC). The AI technology enhances cross-border e-commerce efficiency, particularly for K-Beauty products and other cross-border e-commerce products, with features like real-time tracking, demand forecasting, and automated route optimization. These solutions address critical challenges in logistics, including timely deliveries, cost management, and environmental impact.
Yang emphasized how MicroFM’s AI-based systems streamline supply chains and enable fast, reliable fulfillment in megacities. By leveraging MAILab’s AI SuperComputer and vision-AI solutions, MicroFM optimizes warehouse automation and two-wheel delivery in congested urban environments, making it a model for future logistics operations.
